Dear Rabenkönig,
Thanks for posting your table of contents, which is a good start. Points 1.1. & 1.2 can be left out resp. put in the appendix. You should define what gated communities are first and describe what they look like in California / the US. Subsequently, you should focus on the neighbourhood the Mosbacher`s live in. I don`t know where you got the other points in your table of contents from. They are certainly interesting questions, but more suitable as essay topics. Start with the gated communities and explore how they are presented in the novel. Let me know how you`re getting on

I think Mrs. B’s trying to get the optimum out of me, so I’ll do everything to cope with that.
Please don’t lose heart and keep up your work! It’s sad that you don’t have it online anymore, I’m really interested seeing it one time, if you’d like. Maybe we can work together to bring the best out of our T.o.Cs.

Good evening, Rabenkönig!
Thanks for uploading you ToC! Will comment on it as I go along if that alright with you (see below).
One thing you should really keep in mind is the fact that you might want to compare Boyle`s literary reflection of gated communities with the real world. (That`s what you told me.) THis comparison isn`t mentioned in your ToC, is it? The final points seem to state just facts. It would, however, be highly advisable to provide a comment, thus judging Boyle`s work as a distortion or as a realistic description. THe latter is not very probable though. Just consider the final deluge scene… (Not my favourite…) What about the dogs and the coyotes? Will you include them somewhere?
Basically, you`re on the right track, I think. Now it`s time to do the fine-tuning, which is up to you as the expert on the topic
